What is the Hotmail Page?
Hotmail is a Web-based E-mail system you can use from any computer in the world that has Internet access and a Web browser. All you need to do is sign in with your Hotmail account name and password.
Creating a Hotmail E-mail Account
Free Hotmail e-mail account is closed if you do not use for 30 days. Hotmail e-mail accounts can contain 2 MB of data, if your e-mail account approaches that limit, you can't receive any message sent to you.
On the Hotmail page, click the " Sign up" point text.
Click Get it Free" page, fill in the "Profile Information" and the "Account Information" sections.
At the bottom of the Registration page click "I accept” button.
Addressing and Sending a Message
You can send one message up to 50 e-mail addresses at one time using semicolon (, ), and you can send 500 messages per day. Hotmail does not matter if you type uppercase or lowercase letters.
After signing up, Click "New Message" tab,
To: Type the recipient’s e-mail. Eg. Mubarakbos@hotmail.com
Type your message in the large below text box.
When you finish the typing of your message click “Send.”
Opening a message sent to you
Sign in your email account (.NET Passport) on the Hotmail page.
Click the "Mail" tab.
An envelopeappears to the left of a message, which indicates you that the message has not been opened. Click the “Sender’s Name”, then choose one of the following buttons:-

🠺 Reply All
🠺 Forward
🠺 Delete
LESSON NINE THE MESSENGER
MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger
Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger are messaging programs that let you communicate in real time with other people who use Messengers.
Signing-in and signing out the Messenger
If you already have a Passport, you can sign in to the messenger by using your email account and password. Never give your password to anyone.
On the Messenger windows, open "File" menu, choose "Sign In".
In the "E-mail Address", type your email account including @hotmail.com. Eg. Mubarakbos@hotmail.com
In the "Password" type your Password (Password is case-sensitive).
To Sign Out, Open "File" menu, choose "Sign Out".
Adding a Contact to your list of Contacts
Don't forget, you can add up to 150 contacts to your list. However, you can send an instant message to anyone who is online.
After signing in. Open "Tools" menu and choose "Add a Contact".
In the "Add a Contact" dialog box, select "New e-mail address" and choose "Next" button
Enter your contact's address, for example Mubarakbos@hotmail.com or you only enter Mubarakbos and choose "Next" then wait view minutes.
If you want to add another contact choose "Next" button, if you don't want choose "Finish" button.
Sending an Instant Message
In your contact list, double-click the name of someone who is online. The conversation window opens.
Type your message in the box at the bottom of the window, and then click "Send" or press "Enter". Your message appears in the upper box. Each message can contain up to 400 characters.
You'll see when the other person is typing by looking at the bottom of the window.
LESSON TEN RECYCLE BIN
Recycle bin is a temporary storage in which Windows stores deleted files and folders. You can retrieve files you deleted in error, or you can empty the Recycle Bin.
Starting Recycle Bin Application
Select "Recycle Bin" Icon on the "Desktop" and press "Enter" or Double click "Recycle Bin" Icon on the "Desktop"
Restoring an Item(s) to original Location
Select the item you want to restore to its lactation
If you want to restore more items, press "Ctrl + Click" on each one.
Open "File" menu and then choose "Restore"
Empting the Recycle Bin
Choose "Empty the Recycle bin" from the "File" menu.
Choose "Yes" to confirm the deletion.
LESSON ELEVEN CONTROL PANEL
Control Panel is full of specialized tools that are used to change the way Windows looks and behaves.
Starting Control Panel
Open "Start menu" and then choose setting
Choose "Control Panel" from the setting.
Correcting Date and Time
You can use Date and Time to change the computer's date, time, or clock management.
Open "Date and Time" Icon in the control panel.
Under the "Date" set the month, year and day that your computer is presently using.
Under the "Time" set the present time.
Choose "Apply" and then choose Ok.
Customizing the Desktop Background
Open "Display Icon" in control panel and choose "Desktop" tab
Under "Background" box, select the background you want to display at your desktop.
Choose "Apply" button to see the changes you have done, and choose "OK" button.
Setting the Screen Saver
Text or picture begins to appear on your screen when you have not used the mouse or keyboard for a specified period of time.
Open "Display Icon", in the Contral panel and then choose "Screen saver" tab
Under "Screen saver", choose the screen saver you want to use.
Choose "Settings" button to setup the screen saver options
Choose "Apply" and choose "Ok" button.
LESSON TWELVE
Changing Window’s Color, Size and Font
Open "Display" Icon, in the "Control panel" and then choose "Appearance" tab.
Under "Color Scheme", select the scheme you want to be your windows.
Make any changes you want and choose "Apply" and then "Ok".
Setting Regional Options
In the "Control Panel" choose "Regional and Languages Options"
Choose "Regional Options" tab.
Under "Standard and Formats", select the language that you want to use its settings to your computer.
Under "Location", select your present location (country).
Choose "Apply" and then choose "OK" button.
Changing the Behavior of the Mouse
A mouse has a primary and secondary mouse button. Use the primary mouse button to select and run items, and use the secondary mouse button to display a menu of tasks or options.
In the "Control Panel" open "Mouse"icon, and then "Buttons" tab
Under "Button configuration" select or clear "Switch Primary and Secondary Buttons"
In the "Double click speed" select the speed: of "Slow" to "Fast"
In the "Test area" provides you place to test the double click.
Choose "Pointer Options" tab to increase or decrease pointer speed
In the "Select a Pointer Speed" adjust the speed "Slow" to "Fast"
Choose "Apply" button and choose "Ok" button.
